Guest Speaker:
Raymond Vann of Tahlequah
Information:
Raymond is an active observer and commentator concerning the goings on of Cherokee government and programs and is a founder and director of a private charitable program called War Pony Community Outreach Inc. War Pony has been active for several years and works with Cherokees and non-Cherokees, in and beyond the 14-county jurisdiction of the Cherokee Nation to meet basic individual, family and community needs. It also actively coordinates and makes referrals to tribal and other non-profit resources to assist families in meeting larger, longer-term needs. War Pony may be assisting a family to receive groceries, a refrigerator in which to store them, connecting for housing repairs, and/or accessing services for medical needs. Raymond will describe how this broad range and access to services has been made available to those in need.
